Jayla's Village Member Update
Hello Friends and Family,
I am writing to keep all of My Village Member's posted about my time here at St. John's University. This is my fourth week of school and I am starting to adapt to the New York atmosphere. I am a full time student and I am taking 16 credit hours, so to ensure that I finish this mild stone in four years. My classes are Biology, Biology Lab, Chemistry, Chemistry Lab, Chemistry Recitation, Perspectives on Christianity, and Calculus. I am already starting to rake in the work, but I wanted to take a little time out to just give a quick update. I really feel that my magnet school has prepared me for college, because I am stress free and the time management skills I have acquired have made it so I never have to procrastinate. The East Coast is a lot different than Vegas; mainly because it is already starting to get cold. Being perfectly honest I am not looking forward to winter because cold weather is not my friend, but I will be excited about coming back home for winter break. I will most likely be flying in the night of December 17th. I will be sure to give more updates as the year progresses. Thank you again for being a part of my village and helping me get to this point in my life. God Bless and I will be sure to keep in touch.
